In addition to the balcony and ceiling, parts of The Panopticon's cinema history can still be seen, including the projection box and the area which housed the film rewind room, separate from the projection area and lined with asbestos because of the risk of fire from the then nitrate film stock.

The 'A" listed Britannia is now cared for and championed with infectious enthusiasm by Judith Bowers of the Britannia Music Hall Trust who have already raised its public profile by inclusion on the BBCs Restoration, and who hope that it can be restored to its former glory and reopened as an entertainment venue, with plans for regular film screenings including silent films with live accompaniment and Saturday morning kids club featuring the classic cliffhanger serials.

A Celtic Connections concert in January 2004, limited in audience numbers by safety regulations was oversubscribed many times, as is the regular Doors Open Day access to this little music hall with so may names and uses.
