The earliest GFT diaries were printed one colour onto a different coloured paper, these A4 sheets were then folded into an 8 x 3 inch booklet, a format that continued until mid 1982.
Early attractions at the GFT included a Marlon Brando season in January 1976 with screenings of The Wild One and The Chase and in January 1978, Bert Stern's film Jazz on a Summer's Day, a film that has a special connection with the cinema, having had its British premiere at The Cosmo in July 1968.
